Ålands by bike 2025

Every year, as a tradition, I set off to cycle through the Turku Archipelago. Usually, I followed the classic Rengastie route — a well-known three-day loop. Over the past seven years, I’ve ridden it in all directions, at different paces, and with different companions.

But this year, I felt like doing something new — so I extended my route all the way to the Åland Islands.

370 km by bike and 12 ferry crossings. Beautiful scenery, charming architecture, and five days of pure meditation on two wheels.

In the article you’ll find an interactive map with lots of useful info and, as always, plenty of photos.
